Fusion procedure of ultrasound (US) and MR images. The ipsilateral middle cerebral artery (MCA) is determined as anatomical landmark. After US visualization of the ipsilateral MCA in color-coded duplex ultrasonography (TCCS), axial scanning approach, US images are fused with the corresponding MR images (TOF-sequence) and corrected, if necessary, to match perfectly (a–c).
